A momentous milestone in the history of the Mindanao State University-Maigo Campus has just been achieved. With deep gratitude and joy, the entire MSU-Maigo community extends its heartfelt thanks to 𝐌𝐒𝐔 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐲. 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐢 𝐃. 𝐌𝐚𝐩𝐮𝐩𝐮𝐧𝐨, and the 𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐒𝐔 𝐁𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 (𝐁𝐎𝐑) for officially approving the renaming of the campus. From its previous designation as 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐨 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲–𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐠𝐨 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐬 (𝐌𝐒𝐔-𝐌𝐒𝐀𝐓), the campus will now be known as 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐨 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲–𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐠𝐨 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 (𝐌𝐒𝐔-𝐌𝐂𝐄𝐒𝐓). This renaming marks a significant shift in the institution’s identity, vision, and commitment to become a comprehensive academic campus that offers programs far beyond arts and trades. Originally established under Republic Act No. 4279 in 1965 as Maigo School of Arts and Trades, the institution was later integrated into the MSU System through MSU BOR Resolution No. 11-A, s. 2001. Since then, the campus has evolved significantly, offering four-year academic degree programs in Teacher Education, Social Sciences, Industrial Technology, and more recently, Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Bachelor of Science in Social Work. With its education programs consistently achieving a 100% passing rate in the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) and even producing board topnotchers, 𝐌𝐒𝐔-𝐌𝐂𝐄𝐒𝐓 continues to aim for excellence in instruction, research, and community service. The campus envisions further expansion into the fields of science, technology, and innovation, responding proactively to the educational and developmental needs of its surrounding communities. This renaming was made possible through the initiative and vision of 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐲. 𝐉𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐀. 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐫, whose desire to uplift the campus and bring it to greater heights guided this institutional development. It was further supported by the official resolutions provided by the 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐠𝐨, 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐑𝐚𝐟𝐚𝐞𝐥 𝐂. 𝐑𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐥𝐝𝐚, the 𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐞, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥, and the𝐌𝐒𝐔-𝐌𝐒𝐀𝐓 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐬 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. Their contributions played a key role in facilitating the approval of this change. 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟏𝟒, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 now marks the official date of the campus’s renaming to 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐨 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲–𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐠𝐨 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 (𝐌𝐒𝐔-𝐌𝐂𝐄𝐒𝐓).
